Green Sun Rising
Certain called shots and charms may leave a character prone. A prone character takes a -1 External Penalty to PDV, an -2 External Penalty to DDV, and a -1 External penalty to attack. Prone characters cannot contest movement attempts, or move. Rising from prone takes a move action.
Loss of eyesight, permanently or temporarily, complicates a great many actions. A blinded character suffers a -3 penalty to all visual awareness rolls. In addition, they take a -1 penalty to attacking or defending against melee attacks, and a -2 penalty to ranged attacks, assuming they can even perceive the attack in question.
