Earth Dragon Style

This powerful style is ancient beyond measure—possibly one of the first Martial Arts styles invented. It focuses on a strong defense, and slow, powerful attacks, grinding down it's enemies by attrition. It is one of the signature styles of the Immaculate Monks of the Realm, often used by front-line leaders of the Wyld Hunt, unstoppable juggernauts.

Weapons and Armor:

Bashing melee weapons only, Including shields.

Unarmored, or armor with at least a -3 Mobility Penalty.


Force of the Mountain

The Earth Dragon stylist strikes with a deliberate, powerful blow, putting the weight of their body into the attack with a sound like the first rocks that herald an avalanche.

This charm adds (Stamina/2) to an augmented attack’s damage.


Unmoving Mountain Stance

Like the Imperial Mountain and the Realm’s impervious War
Manses, those who emulate Earth are eternal. Steadfast, they study the art of stillness.

Invoking this Charm allows the Immaculate to stand stock still for the duration. An Immaculate using this Charm adds a number of automatic successes equal to her (Stamina/2) to any attempt to resist being moved or knocked down, as from knockdown or knockback

Remaining perfectly still can also aid attempts at concealment. As long as the Immaculate has an appropriate hiding place, she adds (Stamina/2) successes to attempts to remain hidden.


Stone Dragon's Skin

Skin hardened by a thousand blows, toughened by lying between massive sheets of rock, the Earth Dragon stylist channels the elemental essence of Earth into their flesh, the flesh under their enemies attack momentarily petrifying.

This charm adds (MA/2) to all soaks against an attack action.


Earth Dragon Form

Taking a wide, low, and stable stance, the Earth Dragon’s chakras fill with Earth Essence, making their skin and bones as tough as granite, and giving their flesh a cast like Black Jade.

This charm gives the Martial Artist (MA/2) lethal and bashing soak until the end of the scene.


Shattering Fist Strike

The Earth Dragon’s force of essence is such that they leave cracks in all that they touch, inanimate objects splintering under their raw power.

This charm doubles the Earth Dragon’s base damage against inanimate objects.


Weapon-Breaking Defense Technique

Cost: 1m+; Type: Reaction
Duration: Instant

Prerequisite Charms: Earth Dragon Form
Hidden stones shatter plows, and to strike a mountain is to break a blade. Seizing a weapon in their grip, it begins to petrify and crack.

Upon a successful melee parry, the Martial Artist may spend motes equal to 3+(Artifact Rating of Weapon) attempt a special Disarm Attempt as a counterattack.

Should the attempt succeed, the weapon risks destruction. If the Martial Artist acquires (Artifact Rating) overflow successes on the disarm attempt (Zero for non-artifact weapons), the weapon is not merely disarmed—it is destroyed.

If the Martial Artist succeeds on the disarm, but fails to get the Overflow, the weapon is disarmed as normal.


Earthshaker Attack

Standing on a surface of earth or stone, the Immaculate stomps her foot onto the ground, the ground cracking and shuddering as through struck by the fist of a giant. Even those in the air feel a magnetic, crashing pull to earth.

A shockwave ripples outward from her, and the Martial artists makes a Knockdown attempt with (Stamina + Melee) against all targets within Short Range.

Anyone who falls, in addition to being left prone, also takes damage as though it had been a normal attack.


Hungry Earth Strike

Cost: 1m+; Type: Full Action

Prerequisite Charms: Earthshaker Attack
The Immaculate’s hand seems to swell and grow before she strikes the earth with an open palm. The ground shivers, and immediately after, opens beneath their targets as if to swallow them whole.

The Immaculate rolls an normal attack against the target’s Dodge DV—this attack cannot be parried, and deals no damage.

A target affected by the Charm cannot take Move or Dash actions until her player succeeds in a (Strength + Athletics) roll at a difficulty equal to the Immaculate’s Overflow, and takes an penalty to their dodge defense until they are free equal to the Immaculate’s Overflow.

If the Immaculate’s Overflow exceed the target’s Strength+1, the attack may draw the target all the way into the ground. The Immaculate may also choose whether or not to leave the target with air if they are so imprisoned. If not, they begin to suffocate.

For one additional mote per target, the Immaculate can target multiple heroic enemies, or additional magnitudes of extras, up to their (Essence.)


Stillness of Stone

When an Earth Dragon fights, they leave petrified statues in their wake.

A blow augmented by this charm floods the target’s chakras with Earth Essence, their body slowly starting to petrify, skin turning grey and hard.

For every two points of damage this charm inflicts, the target takes a -1 external penalty to all Dexterity-Based actions, and gains 1B/1L soak.

Those killed by this charm turn statues, their flesh permanently transformed to rock.


Ghost-Grounding Blow

Prerequisite Charms: Weapon Breaking Defense Technique, Stillness of Stone, Hungry Earth Strike
Earth is the element of stability and physicality. Striking an immaterial target, the Immaculate uses his connection to the Elemental Dragon of Earth to draw their victim into the corporeal world.

This charm does not, in itself give the ability to strike the Immaterial—another blessing must serve that purpose. The Martial Artist rolls a standard Martial Art’s attack again the victim, forcing a prison of stone upon incorporeal flesh.

Should it hit, the target is forced into an effigy of stone and clay in their shape which rises from the Earth in response to the Martial Artist’s strike. The effigy has all of the creature’s traits and abilities, however, the Earth Essence deadens that of the target, increasing the cost of using Charms by the Martial Artist’s (Stamina)

Once so imprisoned, the Spirit must break the prison of stone to dematerialize. This can be accomplished by slaying the Martial Artist, countermagic, or other, more esoteric means.


Perfection of Earthen Body

The pinnacle of Earth Dragon Style, this Charm lets the Immaculate truly become one with the exemplar she emulates. Falling to her hands and knees, the martial artist touches her head
to the ground to be fully in contact with the body of the Elemental Dragon of Earth. Her skin ripples and petrifies, making her into an Immaculate warrior of living stone.

This Charm adds (Essence) to the Martial Artist’s Strength and Stamina, which counts as dice added by a charm. It also adds (Essence/2) to the Martial Artist’s Defense.
