Once one foot is in the grave, the pull of Oblivion is difficult to escape.

The necromancer curses combatants within an area of two range bands, causing swirling black wisps of power to circle around open wounds within. All within this radius are inflicted by a deadly curse. All levels of damage they take for the rest of the scene, barring damage that is inflicted by Call to the Grave itself is “mirrored” back at them at the beginning of each of their next actions in the form of unsoakble dice of lethal damage.
